Gángster estadounidense. Pasó de los robos al contrabando de licores, a ser propietario de cervecerías y bares clandestinos, y a estafas de seguros, en el Bronx y Manhattan. Su banda participó en varias guerras sangrientas con bandas rivales. Cuando el sanguinario Dutchman (holandés) se preparaba para asesinar a Thomas Dewey, quien lo había hecho objeto de una investigación, fue a su vez asesinado por los capos del crimen en Nueva York, quienes temían que su plan desencadenaría una investigación de sus propias operaciones.
